Schiphol aircraft stands reinforced with fibres
It is a premiere. Schiphol reinforces the E-pier in a sustainable and innovative way. Constructive synthetic fibres for the reinforcement of concrete aircraft stands. It concerns 5,875 square metres of concrete surface. Steel reinforcement is completely excluded. Reinforced with 2.5 kilograms of Fibrofor® Diamond per cubic metre of concrete.
By opting for fibre concrete, a low ECI score was achieved. The concrete thickness has been reduced and the concrete surface is more abrasion-resistant. This makes it more sustainable throughout its life cycle.
The project was conducted by BKB Infra. A partner with a great deal of experience in the application of our constructive synthetic fibres.
- Low ECI score
- Faster project realisation
- More abrasive concrete surface
- Leaner production
