Concrete paths in Tilburg’s Spoorpark
The former Van Gend&Loos site on the St. Ceciliastraat in Tilburg has been transformed into the Spoorpark. The park is 7.5 hectares in size and is situated in the town centre.
Den Ouden Group constructed the concrete cycle paths, footpaths and skate paths. All paths were made in fibre-reinforced concrete. Reinforced with only 1 kilogram of Fibrofor® High Grade per cubic metre of concrete. The fibres are distributed throughout the concrete mixture, effectively reinforcing all corners and edges.
From east to west, there is a concrete path with a varying width of 5 to 8.60 metres. This pavement is 200 mm thick, finished with a broom line and also suitable for light vehicles. The other concrete paths are 100 mm thick and finished smoothly with a trowel. Due to the smooth finish, these paths are very suitable for skating and walking.
Benefits
• Freedom of form
